Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology /Diagnostic Imaging Program, State of Florida License as a General Radiographer, ARRT registered and ARRT Certified in primary modality, CPR and BLS certification, Three (3) years of relevant experience
What You'll Do.
Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow
Supervises diagnostic imaging studies
Performs diagnostic imaging studies
Assist radiologists in developing new protocols
Assist PhD's in developing new protocols
Participate in research initiatives
Develop research protocols
Monitor charging of CT procedures
Monitor supplies daily
Demonstrate CT equipment for 'site visits'
Provide in-service classes
Obtains CT Scan order
Examines CT Scan order
Notifies supervisor of discrepancies
Contacts physician’s office for correct orders
Identifies patient service requirements
Establishes rapport with patients
Obtain necessary consents
Obtain necessary education
Perform complex specialized tasks
Integrate patient history
Integrate medical records
Adapt exam as necessary
Adheres to CT protocols
Maintain high quality standards
Consistently demonstrates competence
Perform CT scans as ordered
Assists positioning patients
Maintain proper aseptic technique
Utilizing universal precaution guidelines
Assist radiologist with imaging procedures
Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures
Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
Collates processed images
Label processed images
Film processed images
Transmit processed images to PACS
Charge procedures in UChart/Radiant
Charge supplies in UChart/Radiant
Dispenses oral contrast to patients
Loads power injectors
Operates power injectors
Maintain accurate patient records
Gains patient cooperation
Provides explanations to patients
Answers patient questions
Applies age-specific care needs
Performs basic nursing functions
Assists with emesis basins
Assumes care for physical needs
Assumes care for psychological needs
Initiates life support measures
Assists in “Code Blue” procedure
Performs CPR as needed
Keeps work area clean
Keeps work area sanitary
Stocks dressing rooms
Provides on call coverage
