We are seeking to hire a Cassandra DBA to join Data team. The ideal candidates have strong operational leadership, a service-centric mindset **Requirements** **Cluster Management:** Install, configure, and manage Cassandra clusters. Add or remove nodes, manage replication factors, and maintain maximum uptime. **Performance Optimization:** Analyze data access patterns, identify bottlenecks, and fine-tune JVM, garbage collection, and database configurations for scalability. **Data Modeling:** Work with software engineers to design efficient data models, partition keys, and write optimal CQL (Cassandra Query Language) queries **Monitoring & Troubleshooting:** Use monitoring tools like DataStax OpsCenter, Prometheus, and nodetool/dsetool to monitor system health and resolve production issues. **Security & Backups:** Implement data encryption, access controls, and establish backup/disaster recovery strategies **Capacity Planning:** Forecast hardware, storage, and compute requirements based on projected business growth Understanding of Cassandra internals (SSTable,meltable, compaction, repair, gossip protocol, consistent hashing) and familiarity with backup and restore strategies **Automation:** Automate routine operational tasks and cluster provisioning using tools like Bash, Python, or Ansible **The following will be considered as a plus:** Use monitoring tools like DataStax OpsCenter, Prometheus, and nodetool/dsetool to monitor system health and resolve produc
