Investigates discrepancies; Troubleshoots mechanical problems with registers
Must be able to physically perform light to moderate work: exerting 50 – 100 lbs. of force 10 – 40 lbs. frequently, Must have the ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and verbal instructions, Possess ability to file, post, sort and organize materials and paperwork, Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision, Must be able to fit and walk in confined spaces, Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions, Continually exposed to money for reconciliation purposes, Occasional pressure to meet deadlines, Has access to confidential information including sales, safe code, and money, Pre employment drug screen
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Six months to one year of similar or related experience, Must be able to operate menu driven computer programs with mouse, 10 key keypad and alpha numeric keyboard, Must have the ability to read and obey MSDS information on products, Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
What You'll Do.
efficient and friendly customer service
Counts registers after each cashiers shift in all areas of the store
Balances each register handling cash and coin
Ensures each cash pull is placed in safe
payouts and charges and places in appropriate register file
Ensures the registers have adequate cash on hand and loans money from safe to registers when necessary
Performs functions and is knowledgeable in all areas of register operations
Troubleshoots mechanical problems with registers such as receipt paper jams
Acts as cashier (where applicable)
Is knowledgeable of look-up numbers
and features of items for which money is received
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines
Reports to work when scheduled and on time
Responsible for ongoing training program
Assists in other areas of store as needed
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required
Approves checks written for cash or payment of merchandise purchases
Reconciles money orders
(where applicable) bank cards
