Full Job Description
Home Instead Southampton, an Outstanding-rated and family-run care company, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our growing team. At Home Instead Southampton, visits are at least 1 hour, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your clients and deliver the care they deserve. We understand you are more than 'just a carer', and we deeply appreciate the difference you make. Responsibilities * Providing companionship and emotional support to clients in their own homes. * Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting. * Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding as required. * Administering medication as per care plan and following established protocols. * Assisting with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment. * Accompanying clients on appointments, errands, and social activities. * Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients' condition to the care management team. Requirements * Essential: A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to older adults. * Essential: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Essential: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. * Essential: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Essential: Must be able to provide references. * Desirable: Previous experience in a caregiving role, either professional or personal. * Desirable: A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
