What You'll Do.
Performs electrocardiogram (ECG) tests on patients while they exercise.
Monitors the patient's heart rate
and pain levels to accumulate data about their heart function.
Explains procedure to the patient and complete consent form.
Prep skin to obtain good EKG tracing.
Use proper electrode placement and equipment set up.
Obtain manual BP’s and follow the correct stress protocol.
Monitor patients for safety during exercise.
Document ongoing patient vitals during and after the stress test.
Enter all patient data accurately into the stress report.
Maintain ECG equipment and lab.
