Must Have

Completion of a recognized post diploma Cardiovascular Principles and Instrumentation (C. P. I. ) program, Basic Cardiac Life Support (B. C. L. S. ), Level II Basic Rescuer Certification, Minimum of two (2) years recent cardiac ultrasound experience, Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO), Registration with Sonography Canada or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

Excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills, Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, Excellent hand-eye coordination, Ability to function effectively in stressful situations, Computer literacy required

What You'll Do.

Perform ultrasound imaging procedures

as outlined in the procedure manuals to aid in patient diagnosis and/or treatment

troubleshooting and ensuring ultrasound

echocardiology/ancillary equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner

Preparing written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results

Performing other related patient handling responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care

Participating in teaching

safety and quality improvement programs/activities

Observing and understanding Hospital and departmental policies and adhering to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
