What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, carrier sales, capacity procurement, or a related field, Demonstrated experience negotiating carrier rates and securing transportation capacity in dynamic market conditions, Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), carrier onboarding platforms, and load boards such as DAT and Truckstop, Familiarity with freight market trends, carrier compliance requirements, and transportation regulations, Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Nice to Have
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field, Experience with temperature-controlled (reefer) freight, produce transportation, or other time-sensitive freight, Knowledge of USDA, FMCSA, and produce transportation regulations

Let’s take a closer look at the role Key Responsibilities * Carrier Sourcing and Capacity Management - Source and secure carrier capacity for temperature-controlled produce shipments across the United States, ensuring consistent coverage in key shipping markets and lanes. * Carrier Relationship Development - Build, maintain, and expand relationships with qualified carriers through daily prospecting, market engagement, and ongoing performance management. * Rate Negotiation and Market Analysis - Negotiate competitive transportation rates while monitoring freight market conditions, carrier availability, and industry trends to support profitability and service objectives. * Operational Execution and Problem Resolution - Collaborate with Operations, Dispatch, and Account Management teams to ensure successful shipment execution and proactively resolve service issues, delays, equipment failures
