The Campus Security Officer will foster a safe and secure working environment for all employees, clients, and visitors. **This is an unarmed position.** **Schedule Availability:** * Part Time Schedule for Bright Horizons at Ballard Blocks: Monday - Friday, 2pm to 6pm * Part Time Schedule for Bright Horizons at West Seattle: Monday - Friday, 2pm to 6pm **Responsibilities:** * Maintain access control over designated access points, responsible for visitor access management * Utilize video surveillance systems * Conduct tours / patrols of the interior and exterior premises * Detect and deter illicit activity, including loitering, trespass and other transient activity * Assists clients, business visitors and guests * Respond to security, facilities and medical emergencies * May visit and respond to other Centers in the vicinity **Required Qualifications:** * High School Diploma or GED * 3 years of security officer experience operating in a full time capacity, which may include military or law enforcement service * Prior de-escalation training * First Aid / CPR / AED certifications * Personal transportation * **This is an unarmed position** * At this time, Bright Horizons will not sponsor an applicant for employment authorization/visa for this position. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Associates degree in criminal justice or related discipline * Experience working in a fast paced environment and ability to deal with shifting priorities * Excellent customer servic
