Travel requirements of ~30 days per year are to be expected, Travel will predominantly be to the Milford Proving Grounds in Michigan, but may also include other locations in the US and Canada to support in-vehicle Calibration Development, Occasional travel to the Markham Elevation Centre will be required as well, Ability to travel to the United States on short notice, Valid Driver’s (G) license for Ontario, AI will be used in the hiring process, Hybrid work model requiring reporting to Oshawa Elevation Center three times per week, at minimum
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, 2+ years of experience in SW/Controls development, calibration, verification, or validation, Experience with in-vehicle testing, including troubleshooting experience with electrical or thermal systems, Ability to complete minor automotive mechanical and wiring work, Experience with data acquisition and analysis, Independent worker requiring little direction and works well in a team environment, Demonstrated adaptability and ability to deal with ambiguity and changes driven by program modifications/updates, time management skills, required to meet agreed upon customer deliverables while managing multiple projects, Able to contribute to technical projects and work effectively with Local and Global teams, oral and written communication skills, Ability to travel to the United States on short notice, Valid Driver’s (G) license for Ontario
Nice to Have
Master of Science degree in Engineering, Experience developing control system calibrations, Experience with tools commonly used in calibration: INCA, Vehicle Spy, CRETA, MDA, and/or MATLAB/Simulink, Experience with ETAS/INCA, Intrepid/Vehicle Spy or similar DAQ tools, Demonstrated experience developing scripts using programming languages such as Visual Basic, C, C++ or Python, Experience with OBDII compliant diagnostics, Knowledge of the bevHEAT Thermal System, Knowledge of safety critical control systems

develop calibration data sets for current and future vehicle platforms
including hybrid applications
develop a understanding of the physical system and the software controls
leveraging your troubleshooting skills to resolve issues
complete calibration work
in-vehicle and laboratory data collection
related performance verification on bench and in-vehicle to ensure robust execution of diagnostic and controls calibrations
