Our work depends on Cable Technicians joining our team to ensure USCENTCOM leaders have the connections they need to enable success. Looking for a **Cable Technician** with 5+ years experience installing, terminating, patching & splicing Fiber optic cables and Copper (CAT5/6) Ethernet cables. Must be able to work in an active working environment with little or no disruption to customers. Cable Technician will be working in a Classified secured environment with the need to be able to obtain up to Top Secret/SCI clearance. **HOW A CABLE TECHNICIAN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:** * Troubleshooting issues with Link Runner AT2000 cable testers. * Installing cabling infrastructure under floors or in ceilings. * Ensure cables are properly labeled and identified. * Complete work orders using Remedy online system. * Patch network cables in Telecommunications Rooms on multiple levels of classifications and networks. **WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:** **Requirements and skills:** * Proven work experience as a Cable Technician or similar role. * 5+ years experience installing, terminating, patching & splicing Fiber optic cables and Copper (CAT5/6) Ethernet cables. * Must know how to terminate fiber optic cables of various types (Single-mode vs. Multi-mode OM3) and know fiber optic color code.
