What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5 or more years of industry experience in design, implementation, Work-related programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, FORTRAN, and Python, Knowledge of how to derive and allocate requirements (e. g. , system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle, Ability to conceive, develop, optimize, maintain and modify electronic/electrical system designs based on requirements, Ability to provide technical coordination with internal and external suppliers and customers, Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements, Ability to assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance., Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Nice to Have
Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Experience working with DOORS to generate and analyze system requirements., Experience with Waterfall, Agile Processes and project management tools including Confluence, Jira, Version One., Experience with MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 communication protocols., Experience with RTCA DO-178, DO-254 and DO-160., Experience with MIL-HDBK-516C., Have one of the following: Military/Commercial Aircrew experience, Private Pilot License, or Flight Instructor certification.

C-17 Avionics Design and Analysis Engineer 4/5 (Electronic Sys Design & Analy) **Company:** The Boeing Company **Boeing Global Services (BGS)** is seeking a skilled **Avionics Systems Engineer** to join our dynamic team in **Long Beach, CA**. This position is part of the **C-17 Military Airlifter Program** within the **Avionics/Flight Management & Software Engineering **organization. As an Avionics Systems Engineer, you will apply your engineering knowledge, principles, tools, and techniques to implement a series of upgrades and improvements to the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Expert and Consultant Avionics Systems Engineer. Changes in avionics technology necessitate continuous upgrades and engineering evaluations of current and future capabilities. The selected candidate will rapidly integrate into the team and employ an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis, design, development, system-level testing, verification, and validation of the **C-17 Flight Management System (FMS)** and other avionics systems.
