Nice to Have

This role manages assigned commodities or suppliers, executes purchase orders, resolves supply issues, and supports sourcing and cost‑reduction initiatives in a fast‑paced electronics manufacturing environment. Buyer II operates with moderate autonomy and supports cross‑functional teams including planning, engineering, quality, and suppliers. ## Key Responsibilities * Execute purchasing activities for assigned materials, components, or commodities to meet production, inventory, and customer requirements * Create, review, and manage purchase orders in accordance with MRP signals, contracts, and Jabil policies * Communicate with suppliers on delivery schedules, shortages, price discrepancies, and quality issues * Monitor supplier performance (OTD, responsiveness, quoting accuracy) and escalate risks as required * Support sourcing initiatives including RFQs, cost analysis, and supplier comparisons * Participate in cost‑reduction, VAVE, and supply‑base optimization initiatives * Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP/MRP systems (typically SAP/Oracle‑based systems) * Work closely with planners to resolve material shortages and prevent line‑down situations * Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and compliance with Jabil’s ethica
