Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume., Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry., Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public., Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions., Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software., Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages., Ability to write simple correspondence., Read and understand visual aid., Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions., Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables., Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos., Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals., Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs., Minimum Degree with 2 years related experience in Purchasing, Diploma with more than 4 years of related experience in Purchasing, SPM with Minimum of 8 years experience in Purchasing
What You'll Do.
Managing MRP to ensure material supply equals demand.
Support optimization of overall cost of materials.
Develop supply base and Supply Chain strategies.
Support customer’s business needs.
Communicate Jabil expectations to suppliers.
Conduct supplier audit / visits
and performance reviews.
Obtain feedback from Materials Planners on suppliers’ delivery
and service performance.
and provide inputs to improve Jabil SCM initiatives and strategies.
Quote new and existing materials.
Frequently re-quote and negotiate to capitalize on cost reduction opportunities.
Make sourcing decisions based on overall cost and benefit.
Negotiate terms and conditions that protect Jabil and customers.
Negotiate liability terms
special stocking arrangements
and other agreements.
Ensure execution of Jabil pricing and terms & conditions agreements.
Improve sourcing options by working with Jabil’s internal resources and customers.
Analyze and project component purchase prices.
Provide input to determine Quoted Cost to the Customer.
Continuously optimize MPV by reducing cost of materials.
Work with BUM to obtain customers’ authorization for additional expenses.
Collaborate with Materials Planners and monitor
and provide feedback on suppliers’ performance.
Work with Materials Planners to ensure that suppliers support overall business needs of Jabil.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with Purchasing manager and SCM.; Work with Materials Quotation Analyst if applicable.; Work with BUM to obtain customers’ authorization for additional expenses.; Collaborate with Materials Planners and monitor, track, and provide feedback on suppliers’ performance.; Work with Materials Planners to ensure that suppliers support overall business needs of Jabil.
Communication Scope
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
