If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary. ## Job Summary Job Description Summary: The Buyer Direct will be based in **Flex North** , reporting to Materials Manager Responsible for coordinating the procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment to support production needs. **Responsibilities:** * Manage supplier relationships. * Customer contact. * Handling critical parts. * Creation of detailed reports (shipments). * Follow up of critical components with Suppliers and customers * Place orders for raw materials and components based on production requirements. * Receive and manage order confirmations. * Review and adjust purchase orders according to production changes (Shortage List / Open PO List). * Track shipments and expedite when required. * Monitor inventory weekly to avoid overstock. * Reduce obsolescence through regular review of obsolete reports. * Coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses; arrange transportation when needed. * Handle supplier claims, debit/credit issues. * Maintain purchasing documentation and records. * Monitor critical material inventory and resolve discrepancies. * Ensure timely availability of components at agreed cost. * Review requisitions and MRP outputs. * Communicate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and availability. * Manage orders (create, reschedule, cancel) per MRP demand. * Maintain procurement data: costs, deliveries, and inventory. * Ensure supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery); escalate when needed. * Approve invoices for payment. * Analyze inventory levels and material flow through production. * Cond
