What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3-5 years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.
Nice to Have
experience with JDE desirable, Proficiency with procurement software, working within ERP systems and experience with JDE desirable.
What You'll Do.
and purchasing materials

monitor delivery reports and work directly with suppliers to resolve issues
manage supplier relationships and ensure that suppliers are delivering on key performance indicators
Manage procurement activities including issuing of purchase orders
and resolving discrepancies.
Evaluate and analyze buy signals from MRP system
Review and update procurement policies and procedures.
Analyze vendor performance based on quality
and price as well as other pertinent data to maintain a and sustainable supply chain.
Make timely recommendations using data to support timely supply chain decisions.
Coordinate nonconformance issues with internal teams and suppliers in a timely manner
Authorize payment of invoices or return of merchandise
Interface with vendors and build relationships to maintain a high level of support and through all aspects of the procurement process
Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor
