Full Job Description

ABOUT PHYLO Phylo is an applied research lab building agentic intelligence to accelerate discovery for every biomedical scientist. We believe AI agents will fundamentally transform how biomedical research is done. Our fast-growing team brings together researchers and engineers across AI and biology. As an early member of Business Operations team, you'll own high-impact work that shapes how we scale. What you'll do - Design and implement scalable processes across GTM (revops, customer success), finance, recruiting, and core operations - Own the financial models and metrics that help us make better decisions faster - Build the dashboards and reporting infrastructure the company runs on - Produce sharp materials for leadership presentations and external partnerships - Drive cross-functional initiatives from kickoff to completion — define the plan and see it through - Work closely with founders and engineering on whatever matters most this week What we're looking for - 1–3 years of experience. Strong academics, early startup experience, or a history of solving hard problems with limited resources - You act before you're asked. You see something broken and fix it the same day - Analytically strong; you build the model before the meeting, not after - You're able to juggle multiple initiatives at once without dropping balls - you may have to context-switch between a financial model, a recruiting process, and a customer deliverable in the same afternoon! - You know when to go deep and when to ship something good enough. You apply 80/20 instinctively and save your perfectionism for when it actually matters - You turn ambiguous problems into clear next steps without waiting for a perfect brief - Concise, direct communicator — you make things simpler, not more complicated - High output; you get more done in a day than most do in a week, and AI tooling is a big part of how - At ease working alongside engineers; you pick up technical context quickly Nice to have - Background in
