Must Have
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science or a related field, 5+ years of data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence or business analytics experience, Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages, Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc., Knowledge of data analysis languages (e. g. , R, Stata, Python, etc. ) or other statistical software

Full Job Description
The Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization, has an immediate need for a creative business intelligence engineer (BIE) with a passion for building systems that have a measurable impact. As an Amazon Business Intelligence Engineer you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. You should have deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build data sets that answer those questions. You should be expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low-cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the data warehouse and into end-user facing applications. You should be able to work with business customers in understanding the business requirements and implementing reporting solutions. Above all you should be passionate about bringing large datasets together to answer business questions and drive change. Key job responsibilities • Work with the BIE and engineering team to design and develop scalable, user-friendly systems, data lakes, reports, and dashboards. • Write high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL, Oracle), and learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use. • Work closely with science and research peers to translate business questions into analytical solutions and provide insights and recommendations at scale. • Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting. • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
