We are looking for a self-driven, insightful, results-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer to join the North America Transportation team. Our team mission is to drive improvements to customer experience, performance, and cost across Amazon’s transportation systems, from initial delivery promise to final delivery to our customers. This is a tremendous opportunity for Business Intelligence Engineers who want to develop new and innovative ways of interacting with and interpreting business key performance indicators, and shape the future of Amazon Transportation systems. Key job responsibilities - Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data sets using SQL, AWS Redshift/S3, and visualization tools such as QuickSight or Tableau, with guidance from senior BI engineers. - Support the creation and monitoring of transportation metrics related to delivery cost and customer experience, escalating anomalies and findings to senior team members. - Perform data gathering, analysis, and validation to answer specific business questions from program owners, following established analytical approaches. - Conduct ad hoc analyses to investigate transportation issues, documenting findings and presenting recommendations to your immediate team and manager. - Contribute to automating manual reporting processes by writing scripts in Python or R under the direction of senior engineers. - Collaborate with data engineers and other BI engineers to learn data architecture best practices and support data pipeline improvements.
