Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Support business development initiatives by generating new business opportunities and contributing to overall sales growth within the insurance market. Identify and pursue cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities within existing client portfolios in collaboration with account management teams. Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to strengthen engagement, drive retention, and generate referral opportunities. Re-engage lost accounts by analyzing churn reasons and building targeted strategies to win back business. Prospect new clients through networking, industry research, referrals, and market intelligence. Collaborate with marketing teams to support campaigns, promotional activities, and sales enablement initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions. Requirements This role requires strong sales and relationship-building capabilities, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a strong focus on communication and client engagement. 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing-related roles. Experience in commercial property and casualty insurance is highly preferred. Retail agency or insurance brokerage experience strongly valued. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate pipeline tracking and CRM discipline. Strong understanding of sales processes, lead generation, and account expansion strategies. Ability to obtain a state insurance license within the first 90 days of employment. Comfortable working collaboratively across sales, account management, and marketing teams. Benefits Base salary between $55,000 and $60,000 annually, plus commission opportunities on new business.
