Gibson Dunn is a leading global law firm, advising clients on significant transactions and disputes. Our exceptional teams craft and deploy creative legal strategies that are meticulously tailored to every matter, however complex or high-stakes. The firm’s work is distinguished by a unique combination of precision and vision. Based in Houston or New York, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for supporting the business development and visibility initiatives and priorities for the Energy, Infrastructure, Data Centers and ESG practices. For their group of transactional practices, the business development specialist will be responsible for driving the development and maintenance of collateral materials including the creation of bespoke pitch documents, standardized pitch decks, opportunity ready deal lists, matter descriptions and other applicable content. Working closely with the relevant manager and team, the Specialist will also proactively contribute to visibility and client relationship management activities including conferences, sponsorships and client facing events. Support for other transactional practices and lawyers will be assigned as needed. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Business Development based in Houston. Responsibilities include: Supporting the development and marketing efforts for assigned practices and/or regions as well as providing support for individual partner business objectives with the business development manager. Supporting matter collection process and infrastructure league table submissions. Supporting relevant directory submissions and contributing to relevant industry award submissions. Driving creation and maintenance of collateral materials, including the creation of bespoke pitch documents, standardized pitch decks, opportunity ready deal lists, matter descriptions and other applicable content.
