Full Job Description
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, and customer acquisition activities. This role focuses on building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective enterprise-level customers and generating qualified new business opportunities aligned with company objectives. The BDR qualifies prospective customers, develops early-stage business relationships, and coordinates the transition of new accounts to Enterprise Account Managers (EAMs) and Enterprise Customer Relationship Managers (ECRMs) for onboarding, service execution, and ongoing account management. This role is focused on new business development and does not maintain long-term ownership or management of customer accounts following transition to the enterprise teams. The BDR works closely with sales leadership and internal business partners to support pipeline growth, maintain accurate prospecting activity, and contribute to enterprise sales objectives. This position requires strong communication skills, organization, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. Responsibilities: **Sales Prospecting & New Business Acquisition** * Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, email outreach, networking, and other lead generation strategies, to identify potential enterprise-level customers. * Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through consistent prospecting activity and follow-up efforts. * Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities based on customer fit, transportation spend, geography, modes, and business needs. * Schedule and participate in discovery calls and initial customer meetings. * Present IEL’s services and value proposition aligned with customer needs and business objectives. * Support the onboarding process for newly acquired customers. **Customer Transition & Internal Collaboration** *
