Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules; Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues; Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations; Analyzes lending applications to identify, correct, and make credit decisions or advise of deficiencies and/or exceptions in accordance with sound credit granting recommends remedies to maintain acceptable asset and credit quality; Responds to inquiries and resolves issues raised through audits and quality checks to adequately document lending decisions; Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Advanced understanding of business banking products, lending process and directives, credit risk policies and standards, supporting processes, applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and Bank policies, knowledge of credit qualification and adjudication standards, policies, and procedures, Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience

What You'll Do.

Perform ongoing comprehensive client credit analysis for assigned client portfolios to assess overall financial health and credit risk

Apply lending expertise to a lending product portfolio or part of the lending process (e.g.

Make credit decisions or provide timely advice to the business banking relationship manager

Facilitate the funding process as a funding specialist

acting as a final control point for legal documentation

Analyze lending applications to identify

and make credit decisions or advise of deficiencies/exceptions

Analyze lending applications to confirm security valuations and complete/approve credit applications for authorization

Develop risk profiles

credit structuring of lending proposals

and complete credit investigations

Respond to inquiries and resolve issues raised through audits and quality checks

Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports

Monitor and track performance and address any issues

Follow security and safeguarding procedures and apply due diligence

Adhere to business banking lending processes

and ethical requirements

Maintain the confidentiality of customer and Bank information

Identify risks and take appropriate actions

including all documentation and other regulatory requirements

Liaise between clients and various departments across the organization
