Full Job Description

The Finance team is responsible for budgeting, financial planning, accounting, treasury, procurement, and financial reporting. As Plata continues to scale in Colombia, the team is building new best in class processes, controls, and systems leveraging automation and AI to support the bank's growth and regulatory requirements. We are looking for a Junior+ Business Analyst to help Finance teams structure and improve their processes, translate business needs into clear requirements, and support the implementation of scalable solutions. You will work closely with Finance stakeholders, Product Managers, and Engineering teams on process automation, system improvements, and the development of future finance tools, including a Treasury Management System (TMS), new accounting and taxes process and E2E procurement process Challenges that await you: Analyzing and documenting current finance processes and operations across Planning, Treasury, FinOps, Accounting, and Taxes Gathering business requirements from local Finance stakeholders and translating them into structured specifications and actionable technical tasks Identifying process inefficiencies, operational risks, and control gaps to ensure strict Maker-Checker segregation of duties Designing and documenting future-state processes, data definitions, and complex workflows (such as dual-valuation logic for Local GAAP vs. US GAAP) Supporting finance process automation initiatives using AI and together with Product and Engineering teams, specifically connecting upstream operational systems (like Procure-to-Pay or core banking) with downstream NetSuite accounting Adapting existing finance processes from Mexico to the strictly regulated Colombian market Participating in the design and implementation of future finance systems and tools Collaborating with technical teams during implementation, testing, and validation phases Facilitating workshops and coordinating stakeholders across Finance, Product, Data, and Engineering teams, a
