Must Have
Currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full time studies after term, Working knowledge of database design, Working knowledge of DB management, Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on advanced Excel (including VBA and designing libraries) or programming such as Java, PHP or Python
Nice to Have
Experience using VBA, SQL, VB. net, Java, MS Visio, HTML 5, C#
What You'll Do.
Involvement in Finance's process improvement program
Development of new or existing Controllership
Capital Markets and Wholesale Banking initiatives
Assisting Middle Office analysts on maintaining existing processes
Development of new reports
Testing of new systems or databases to ensure accuracy and completeness
Providing support to Front Office
Risk Management and Finance
Participating in team meetings
Providing input on improvement opportunities on existing processes

These services include financial, management and regulatory reporting, maintenance of accounting records, financial analysis and planning, tax planning and compliance, treasury, investor relations, and regular reviews of business line performance. As a Business Analyst, you will be involved in Finance’s process improvement program, development of new or existing Controllership , Capital Markets and Wholesale Banking initiatives and assisting Middle Office analysts on maintaining existing processes and development of new reports and testing of new systems or databases to ensure accuracy and completeness. Depending on the project, you may also provide support to Front Office, Risk Management and Finance and interact with business partners (all levels). You will be participating in team meetings and are also encouraged to provide input on improvement opportunities on existing processes. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.
