What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3 years’ experience in building repairs/operations, preferably in a multi-residential building, Good verbal and written communication skills, Basic Interpersonal skills demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service excellence, Exceptional knowledge of tenant, health and safety regulations (e. g. , WHMIS, Ontario Building and Fire Codes), plus hazard reduction while carrying out maintenance tasks, Aptitude to learn state-of-the-art Building Automation Systems in order to be trained for the next level, React swiftly and accurately to crisis situations, Respond to unexpected emergency call-backs if problems occur from time-to-time, Ability to perform the requirements of the job with minimal supervision and complete the assigned tasks per agreed deadlines, Able to monitor and supervise outside contractors and staff, Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft
Nice to Have
Trade school license and completion of formal apprenticeship training is an asset, Yardi Voyager and Yardi Maintenance IQ an asset
What You'll Do.
Respond to tenant and user service calls and complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible
Perform work in one or more of the trades: carpentry
Provide assistance as directed to other building operations staff
Perform water treatment testing and analysis
adjust and modify chemical feed to ensure proper levels are being maintained
Act as relief for other similar positions whose incumbent may be absent from time-to-time
common areas and mechanical/electrical areas are kept clean and organized at all times
including performing custodial duties within these areas as directed
Perform other related duties as required and reasonably assigned from time-to-time

This is a very busy, upscale residential complex with top notch amenities and direct access to Manulife Centre. The Operations Team is responsible for ongoing preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance of the properties, as well as in-suite turnover maintenance and resident maintenance requests. The operator will be in integral to achieving our goal of high-level customer satisfaction and a high level of resident retention.
