Eligibility Requirements

Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, within safety guidelines, Ability to operate all rolling stock efficiently, within safety guidelines, Ability to efficiently use hand tools and trades type tools, to provide maintenance of facility as required, Good mechanic background required, General knowledge of vehicle maintenance including preventative and scheduled maintenance, Good plumbing skills, General knowledge of electrical and lighting, Clean drivers license with the ability to obtain a CDL, Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergency situations as required, Stand/Walk: Continuously, Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs), Occasionally (up to 35-50 lbs.), bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder (up to 2 ft.), crouch, kneel, push/pull, grasp, working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a chicken odor, Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language in order to maintain records and communicate well, 6 month work history or participant of any industrial maintenance educational program, Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire, 90 days (3 months) waiting period

What You'll Do.

General repair and maintenance of building

General repair and maintenance of equipment

Maintain company grounds

Maintenance and safe operation of rolling stock

Certified Fork Lift Operator

Repair and replacement of facility lighting

Repair of facility plumbing needs

Back-up Waste Water Treatment Plant operator

Trash removal from the facility

Maintain cleanliness of sheds

Sweeping of the parking lot

Maintain the bone yard

Assist with roof repairs

Assist with roof clean-up

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

acting as back-up to the shag driver; acting as back-up to waste water treatment positions; Assist with roof repairs and clean-up; All other essential duties as directed by the maintenance manager
