What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years of experience as a Building Operator, Control Systems Technician, or similar, EPA Universal or Type II Refrigeration Certification (current), Experience with building automation systems (BAS), Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, control sequences, and technical documentation
Nice to Have
Experience supporting laboratory, pharmaceutical, or life sciences facilities, Advanced certifications in building automation, control systems, or HVAC specialties, Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), Knowledge of energy management principles, Experience with critical environment monitoring systems, Experience with clean room operations, Understanding of GMP or laboratory compliance standards
What You'll Do.
Monitor and operate building automation systems (BAS)
Respond to system alarms
Troubleshoot environmental control issues
Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment
Perform light mechanical repairs on HVAC equipment
Conduct routine inspections of EPA-certified refrigeration systems
Document performance data in computerized systems
Document maintenance activities in computerized systems
Coordinate with vendors to schedule repairs
Coordinate with contractors to schedule repairs
Coordinate with facility leadership to schedule repairs
Participate in emergency response procedures
Participate in weekend rotation
