The **Balance Sheet Management (BSM)** department’s primary objective is to support Athora Belgium’s business needs in the areas of actuarial reporting and balance sheet management. This strong actuarial team plays a key role in the company’s decision‑making and performance management processes by delivering timely, accurate, and relevant analyses, as well as supporting capital management actions. The BSM department actively contributes across a wide range of strategic and technical topics, including: * Solvency II * IFRS 17 * Capital Management * Asset & Liability Management (ALM) * Actuarial Modelling * New business profitability analysis * Strategic balance sheet operations, such as M&A transactions and reinsurance activities The team is composed of 10 colleagues, working in a collaborative and dynamic environment—and they are looking forward to welcoming you! **Your responsibilities** As a **BSM Actuary Intern,** you will provide key analytical and operational support across a broad range of actuarial and balance sheet management topics. You will work closely with experienced actuaries and stakeholders across the organisation, gaining exposure to important regulatory, modelling, and business processes. Your responsibilities will include: * Measuring, optimising, and reporting on the various components of Life Technical Provisions and Risk Capital models under Solvency II, IFRS 17, and BMA regulatory frameworks, on a quarterly basis * Contributing to the development and enhancement of actuarial models and tools, including ALM, profitability, capital management, and reinsurance models, as well as maintaining and improving existing models using RAFM and Python * Improving existing frameworks by enhancing processes, controls, and technical documentation to support robustness and efficiency * Communicating analyses and results to business stakeholders and participating in internal governance and decision-making forums at both local and Group level * Collaborating wit
