WUSA-TV Was, the TEGNA CBS in Washington seeks a full-time Broadcast Engineer to join the Technology team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day hands-on maintenance of the station’s technical equipment including traditional broadcast hardware and industry specific software. The ideal candidate can balance multiple ongoing projects while addressing the immediate maintenance needs of a 24/7 operation. If you enjoy problem solving, are a people person, like solving technical/IT challenges and enjoy communicating, we want to hear from you. Current driver’s license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations required Responsibilities: Support day to day operations of station including all daily news operations, equipment, and computer-based IT systems. Install and maintain broadcast and IT equipment at studio facilities, transmitter site, in remote broadcast vehicles, and at other remote locations. Troubleshoot equipment issues, making repairs or implementing workarounds as needed. Perform routine security updates and reboots of broadcast servers.
