5+ years telecommunications experience, Fiber outside plant construction experience, Fiber outside plant maintenance experience, Calix network equipment experience, Calix software experience, Basic knowledge of Ethernet, Basic knowledge of WI-FI, Basic knowledge of mesh, Basic knowledge of GPON, Class A Commercial Driver's License
What You'll Do.
Perform installations and service changes
Perform troubleshooting of services
Identify and remedy sources of problems
and maintain Digital Multi-Meter
Complete performance testing and setup
Build and terminate ethernet cables
Operate fiber optic testing instruments
Install connectors on drop cables
Maintain outside fiber plant
Operate outside fiber plant
Construct outside fiber plant
Fusion splice large count cables
Troubleshoot fiber plant
Analyze technical network problems
Troubleshoot technical network issues
Determine line quality
Educate subscribers on adding devices
Add devices to network
Make configuration changes
Interact with customers professionally
Respond to escalations
Respond to customer concerns
Educate customers on product features
Educate customers on product functionality
Review service order requirements
Discuss equipment requests
Interpret repair tickets
Interpret technical drawings
Perform specified work
Complete installations
Prepare for daily work assignments
Requisition equipment and supplies
