What You'll Do.
Inspect machines for damage
Initiate maintenance or repair tickets
Apply shop mathematics including trigonometry
Prepare for job setup or production runs
Verify correct materials
and fixtures are issued
Use precision measuring instruments to set up machines
Check machined parts for finish and dimensional accuracy
and fabricate tools and fixtures
Download and edit CNC programs
Adjust speeds and feeds for developmental work
Set machine coordinates
Attach machine accessories
Load and unload cutting tools per program specifications
Detect faulty tools and replace or maintain them
Operate boring machines to rough out and finish
and tapping operations
Adjust machine settings such as speeds and feeds
Correct machining problems
Inspect work after each operation
Ensure parts meet drawing specifications
Perform deburring and necessary bench work
Submit completed or in-process work to layout or
Perform rework per engineering instructions
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely
