What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3 years’ experience in bookkeeping, Proficiency in Xero, Knowledge of GST, Knowledge of BAS preparation, Experience processing payroll, Experience with STP reporting, Written communication skills, Verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
Xero Advisor Certification, Experience using Karbon, Familiarity with the Tax Agent Portal, Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Experience in a multi-client accounting practice
What You'll Do.
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping needs
Maintain accurate financial records
Assist with preparing BAS
Set up and maintain client files
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Process accounts payable
Process accounts receivable
Manage payroll processing
Troubleshoot Xero issues
Prepare and lodge BAS
Ensure accurate GST coding
Resolve GST discrepancies
Maintain financial records
Process superannuation
Process PAYG Withholding
Assist with management reports
Assist with month-end schedules
Maintain fixed asset registers
Maintain depreciation schedules
Support year-end workpaper preparation
Support tax compliance
Maintain accurate time records
Adhere to quality control
Adhere to file management
Contribute to process improvement
