## Job Description Bookkeeper / Office Administrator Location: Irvington, NJSchedule: Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience) Position Overview A growing manufacturing company is seeking a dependable and proactive Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to join its team. This role combines bookkeeping responsibilities with general office support and is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a variety of administrative and financial tasks. Training is available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments. Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally. Create and send purchase orders and track orders. Communicate with customers regarding billing, payments, and general inquiries. Assist with report creation and financial tracking. Maintain organized digital and physical records. Monitor and manage office inventory and supplies. Support daily office operations and assist where needed. Qualifications Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration preferred but not required. Understanding of accounts receivable and payable processes, or willingness to learn. Comfortable using computers and learning new software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Preferred Software Experience QuickBooks or similar accounting software Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Microsoft Outlook Adobe Acrobat (PDF management) What We're Looking For Someone who takes ownership of their work and follows through.
