**Position Title:** Bookkeeper **Salary:** up to 1,800 NZD per month **Work Schedule:** 8:30AM-5:30PM NZST ### **Role Overview** We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper with experience in Xero and New Zealand accounting practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring compliance with relevant NZ regulations. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records * Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable * Reconcile bank and credit card accounts * Process invoices, payments, and payroll (if applicable) * Prepare and manage GST returns in accordance with New Zealand regulations * Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes * Generate financial reports as required * Liaise with accountants, auditors, and other stakeholders * Ensure compliance with New Zealand financial and tax requirements **Requirements** * Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role * Hands-on experience with **Xero accounting software** * Solid understanding of **New Zealand accounting standards and GST** * Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy * Good organizational and time management skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines ### **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with New Zealand-based clients or companies * Relevant accounting or bookkeeping certification * Experience handling multiple entities or accounts ### **Key Skills** * Attention to detail * Accuracy and accountability * Strong communication skills * Problem-solving ability * Time management and prioritization
