We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Bookings Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end bookings function, ensuring the smooth coordination of inpatient and outpatient scheduling while maintaining high standards of service delivery and operational efficiency. This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuity of service, team leadership, and operational performance during a period of internal transition. You will be instrumental in maintaining service quality, supporting staff, and safeguarding the hospital’s financial integrity. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage daily inpatient and outpatient booking activity (c. 250+ outpatients per day and c. 450 inpatient/day case bookings per month) * Lead and support the bookings team, including rota management, performance monitoring, and ensuring adequate service coverage * Oversee the pre-authorisation process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance to prevent treatment delays and protect revenue * Monitor and drive performance against key KPIs related to patient flow and booking volumes * Maintain high standards of patient service and operational quality **About You:** * Proven experience in a healthcare bookings or patient services management role * Strong leadership and team management skills * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail * Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment * Solid understanding
