What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), 3–5 years of related facilities or boiler room experience, Class 4 NIULPE power engineer’s license, Working knowledge of boiler systems and operations, Ability to operate and understand diagnostic and computer equipment
Nice to Have
General knowledge of water treatment and chemical analysis, Familiarity with building automation and alarm systems, Basic knowledge of computer operations beyond diagnostics, Attention to detail in documentation and reporting, communication and phone-handling skills, Ability to research and order supplies efficiently
What You'll Do.
Monitor and operate boiler and utility system equipment
Make necessary adjustments to main plant equipment
Troubleshoot equipment and respond to building automation or alarm systems
Perform routine and preventative maintenance
Conduct chemical analysis to optimize system performance
Complete corrective maintenance as needed
Answer boiler room and facilities department phones and dispatch personnel
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Research and order supplies as required
Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas
