Our holistic approach to pet nutrition sets us apart, and we are seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist to help us continue to ensure our products continue our track record of providing delicious food and treats for pets that meet the highest standards of safety, nutrition, efficacy, and compliance. As a Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist, you will work along-side our Head of Veterinary Nutrition, R&D and Brands teams, and play a pivotal role in reviewing and optimizing our recipes and pet food formulations. Your expertise will continue to ensure our recipes are held to the highest standard when it comes to complete, balanced and safe recipes, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Collaboration and close working relationships with cross-functional teams is critical in this role - specifically with our R&D, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Legal teams- where you will focus on supporting product development and customer education. Responsibilities: Product Formulation & Review: Evaluate and approve recipes to ensure they are nutritionally balanced, safe, and effective. Ensure all products align with Open Farm’s recipe standards and ingredient quality requirements. Provide guidance on pet food formulation for dry, wet, treats, and canned products. Maintain proper documentation and records for nutritional adequacy, feeding guidelines, and label compliance. Customer & Internal Support: Assist with elevated pet parent inquiries requiring veterinary expertise
