The hospital is part of the Montefiore Einstein a premier academic health system serving more than three million people living in the New York City region and Hudson Valley. **We have an excellent opportunity for a part time/ every other weekend, Hematology/Blood Bank Supervisor to join our team.** **Position Summary:** Monitor accurate, timely and cost effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by performing complex chemical, biological, hematological , immunological and microscopic tests. Position Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Provide training * Check competencies * Document fair and objective performance evaluation * Participate in Quality Improvement activities * Review all critical values * Required Background: * NYSED license required/Laboratory Technologist Certification * Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. * Minimum of six years recent experience as a Medical Technologist * Prior experience in a leadership role * Lab Science understanding of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Banking and Microbiology.
