What You'll Do.

Transport timely and correct switching and placement of rail cars
Inspect locomotive before operating
Receive starting signal and move controls to move locomotive
Interpret train orders
and rules to operate locomotive
Assist crew leader in training new employees
Observe track to detect obstructions
Prepare reports to explain accidents
Lubricate moving parts of locomotive
Handle train equipment in a safe manner
Operation of hand or ground throw switches
Control movement of equipment by radio
Apply and release hand brakes to secure or move equipment
