What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Hands-on experience with Python and relevant libraries for scripting, automation, and data processing, Solid understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and configuration management, Experience or interest in system performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization, Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms, Understanding of ETL processes and experience building or maintaining data pipelines, Abide by Mastercard’s security policies, Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being, Report any suspected information security violation or breach, Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines
Nice to Have
Ability to analyze data to drive familiarity with predictive modeling and analytics is a plus, Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, Interest or experience in AI/ML applications to enhance system intelligence and automation
What You'll Do.
Advancing Mastercard’s authorization observability and operational intelligence
Engineering solutions that enhance platform instrumentation
cross-team integration
and real-time alerting across multi-platform environments
Building and maintaining impact and blast-radius reporting in partnership with Incident Manager teams
Engineering internal SLA/SLO monitoring
Supporting customer-facing data enablement for latency and decline inquiries
Collaborating with BizOps Squad Leads to define and deliver release observability requirements
Supporting SLA/SLO documentation and cross-team reviews
Developing custom data solutions for operational authorization needs
Supporting specialized initiatives to improve the authorization experience across Transaction Switching and Auth-connected programs
Addressing customer issues
Creating dashboards and reports using tools like PowerBI
Performing operability and resilience design
Implementing and maintaining highly reliable and scalable infrastructure
Performing root cause analysis of incidents
Participating in on-call rotations
Completing end-to-end run ownership of the product
Practicing sustainable incident response and blameless post-mortems
Automating data-driven alerts
Working with development teams to establish SLOs and improve reliability
Analyzing ITSM activities of the platform
Generating reports on ITSM activities
Using data analytics to identify operational gaps and areas for improvement
