Full Job Description
This is an opportunity to work with the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) in meeting the mission of administering the nation’s lawful immigration system. Benefits (union position): The company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: 401k retirement plan and Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Employees will accrue one (1) hour of sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked up to fifty-six (56) hours per year. On Call employees may be eligible for prorated holiday and vacation pay. Employees will earn H&W dollars per eligible hour (including vacation and holiday up to 40 hours/week). H&W monies are used to offset the employer’s cost of benefits the employee elects into and/or utilizes now and in the future. Any remaining health and welfare monies after all applicable deductions would be cashed out to the employee on a 1 pay period lag. Job Description: As a Biometric Technician (BT), you will be responsible for supporting the mission of a government program located in San Fernando, CA. This position works as a part of a dynamic team of professionals assisting the United States Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) Application Support Center (ASC) operations. Amentum provides all required job training for qualified candidates. This position is an on call (casual) team member. On Call (causal) employees are expected to be available all five days, Monday through Friday from the hours of 7:45am to 4:15pm for substitute coverage as needed at the site. This is not a regular Full Time or regular Part Time position; it is a Casual On-Call position. All efforts are made to notify On-Call personnel in advance of the site on call needs, however, occasionally employees are notified the night before or day of.
