Must Have
HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist, Minimum one year of post-registration experience in clinical chemistry and immunoassay, Demonstrable experience operating an integrated clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyser, Experience working accurately and efficiently under time pressure
Nice to Have
Post-registration experience in haematology, Hands-on experience operating Sysmex XN-series haematology analysers, Hands-on experience operating Abbott Alinity ci-series, Experience in POCT, rapid diagnostics, or high-throughput clinical settings, Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), digital result reporting, or involvement in LIMS development and user acceptance testing
What You'll Do.
Perform testing on analysers
Validate patient results
Escalate clinically anomalous findings
Carry out daily calibration
Perform internal quality control
Perform routine maintenance of analysers
Troubleshoot technical issues
Monitor EQA performance
Investigate non-conformances
Contribute to service improvement
Maintain accurate records
Support performance monitoring
Provide technical guidance
