## Job Description Bindery Supervisor Flint, Michigan1st Shift Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Bindery Supervisor / Lead Bindery Operator to lead daily operations within the bindery and finishing department. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for machine setup, production efficiency, employee development, quality standards, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The department consists of approximately 11 core team members, with additional support brought in during peak production periods. The ideal candidate will combine strong bindery expertise with proven leadership experience and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate day-to-day bindery operations on 1st shift. Lead, train, and develop bindery personnel while promoting teamwork and accountability. Perform advanced machine setups and provide troubleshooting support as needed. Monitor production schedules to ensure deadlines and quality standards are achieved. Maintain workflow efficiency and identify opportunities for process improvements. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies. Manage staffing needs and support temporary or floating personnel during high-volume periods. Communicate effectively with production, scheduling, and management teams. Maintain high standards for product quality and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of leadership, training, or supervisory experience in a bindery or finishing environment preferred. Strong hands-on knowledge of commercial printing and bindery operations. Ability to lead by example and work alongside the team when necessary. Experience with machine setup, troubleshooting, and production workflows. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proven ability to motivate employees and maintain a positive work culture.
