What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2–5 years of hands-on experience as a software developer, Thorough knowledge and experience with C#, Experience working with IDEs suited for C# development, Proven ability to take on, understand and maintain legacy codebases, Experience working in a version-controlled environment (GitLab, GitHub, etc.), organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent development tasks effectively, Clear English writing skills for documentation, version notes, and validation records, Willingness to learn from users and apply practical problem-solving approaches, Right to work in the UK
Nice to Have
Experience working with Visual Studio, Experience working with commercial BIM platforms and their APIs (e.g. Tekla Structures, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks), Experience with Windows Forms and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), Knowledge of BIM environments and workflows (e.g. model checking, data management, clash detection), Knowledge of Tekla’s API, Enthusiastic and proactive mindset, with a desire to improve BIM workflows and contribute to a high-performing team, Additional experience in other languages such as SQL, VBA, or Python is advantageous, Knowledge of DevOps practices

As a BIM Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving tools that support our BIM processes across major infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and efficient digital workflows. Based in our Bristol Office You must have the right to work in the UK We are currently looking to recruit a BIM Developer to join our UK team and help us evolve our internal suite of custom-developed BIM tools. These tools are used day-to-day by a large civil engineering team working in 3D modelling, checking and data delivery As part of a growing development function, you will work collaboratively with other BIM Developers and the wider BIM team, playing a key role in maintaining and evolving our toolset. The role will involve observing user interactions, defining priorities, and delivering robust, scalable solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across projects Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Tool Development and Enhancement * Take ownership of an existing internal suite of BIM-related tools and plug-ins. * Analyse, maintain, and expand these tools in response to new project requirements and team feedback. *
