**POSITION SUMMARY****:** Responsible for researching, analyzing, evaluating, and administering corporate benefit plans and programs. Monitors benefit trends in the industry and stays abreast of applicable benefits legislation. Provides advisory and consultative services to employees and managers. Acts as liaison between employee and insurance providers; coordinates timely filing and maintenance of regulatory plan documents; coordinates benefit program initiatives; and provides overview of benefits during new employee orientation. **Position: Benefits Analyst** **Department: Human Resources** **Schedule: Full Time** **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:** * Researches, analyzes, evaluates, and administers benefit plans and programs. * Surveys market data in order to determine company's competitive position in employee benefits. * Responsible for planning, developing, and redesigning company benefits programs and analyzing benefit costs. * Presents recommendations for change or enhancements to benefit offerings to management * Builds models and reporting tools to more efficiently manipulate raw or processed data. * Provides problem resolution and research on cost savings opportunities. * Processes benefits documents and government reports to ensure compliance with regulatory policies such as Form 5500s, PBGC filings and employee disclosures. Educates employees and facilitates requests for retirement/pension plan distributions. Creates and delivers new hire benefits orientation; provides training on use of on-line employee self-service module, oversees enrollment and Qualifying Events changes. Plans and coordinates the annual renewal and open enrollment period. Facilitates and/or coordinates benefit program initiatives and employee education programs.
