Position Overview Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT’s) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHT’s play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the clients’ experience. Schedule Part-Time 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week) Evening/Overnight Evening Shifts: 2pm-10:30pm, 4pm-12:30am Overnight Shifts: 10pm-6:30am Every other weekend required (Saturday however, 6+ months of direct client care / milieu experience in a mental/behavioral health or healthcare setting, particularly with eating disorders is preferred. · Completion of Preceptor Program preferred. Other Qualifications: · Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive. · Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. · Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire. · Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire. · Employees at Residential site in Washington are required to have a Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire.
