What You'll Do.
Maintain daily program structure
Complete observation rounds
Complete safety checks
Work with patients on de-escalation
Implement coping skills
Conduct room searches
Conduct luggage searches
Take patients out on fresh air breaks
Provide patient transportation
Take patient vital signs
Take patient urine Specific Gravity
Act as secondary support staff
Complete documentation of patient observations
Complete documentation of meals
Complete documentation of individual check-ins
Assist with morning routine

Shift: NOC, 10pm-6:30am, Wed-Sat (32 hours) The Behavioral Health Technician works under the supervision of the nursing department and is responsible for the direct care of inpatient and residential patients by providing patient supervision and support. The BHT provides support, structure and boundaries. They provide bathroom and mealtime support as well as contribute to the implementation of therapeutic programming.
