Full Job Description
Do you excel in building relationships with children and their families with trust and care? Do you have a passion for helping neurodiverse children feel great about themselves while building confidence to achieve daily and long-term social and behavioral success? Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) located in Centreville, VA? This is a great opportunity to supplement your income while improving children’s lives. Centria Health is looking for Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism to implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors, communicate with stakeholders, maintain client confidentiality, and regularly meet with their direct leader. You will build trust and care with the child and their family in their home setting within 15 minutes from where you reside. Hourly Rate: $20 - $24 What makes this role unique? Family-home environment 15-20 hours/week, with a varied, flexible work schedule Assignments within 15 minutes from your residence What your day as a Behavioral Health Technician will look like: At the child’s home, you will adapt teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors to provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support, understanding some patient styles may be more confrontational than others. For guided help, you will partner with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans which may include many physical and mental exercises to provide optimal support to your assigned child. You will use you evidence-based techniques to engage actively with children with physical activity which may include standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
