What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in battery certification, regulatory compliance, or product safety engineering for EV or ESS products. Hands-on experience with battery-related standards and certifications. Experience working with third-party testing labs and certification agencies. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Nice to Have
Prior experience with large-scale ESS product fire and safety certifications is strongly preferred. Registered Fire Protection Engineer (FPE), certified fire marshal, or direct experience working with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) considered a asset. Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
