**About the Role** We are hiring a **Batch Scheduling Engineer** to join our Platform Operations team and help operate, maintain, and evolve our enterprise batch scheduling environment, centered on **Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ)**. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational scheduling experience — and curiosity for automation and AI — to grow into a specialist role within a multinational IT organization. You will work alongside senior engineers, SAP Basis, and Application teams, contributing to the day-to-day reliability of business-critical jobs across SAP and non-SAP platforms, and helping us build smarter, more automated workflows. **Key Responsibilities** * Configure, deploy, and monitor batch jobs and job chains in **Redwood RunMyJobs** , following team standards and best practices. * Handle **day-to-day scheduling tasks** : job creation, modifications, calendar updates, dependency management, and user requests. * Monitor batch execution, identify failures, perform **first- and second-level troubleshooting** , and escalate to senior engineers when needed. * Build and maintain **scheduling workflows** for SAP and non-SAP applications under senior guidance. * Contribute to **automation initiatives** : scripting repetitive scheduling tasks, building reusable workflow templates, improving operational tooling. * Document configurations, procedures, and runbooks; keep the knowledge base up to date. * Participate in **release cycles, change management, and testing** of scheduling changes. **Required Skills & Experience** * **1–3 years** of experience in IT operations, application support, or batch scheduling. * Working knowledge of **at least one batch scheduling tool** — Redwood RunMyJobs preferred, but experience with SAP CPS, Control-M, Tivoli, AutoSys, or native SAP SM36/SM37 is valuable. * Familiarity with **SAP environments** — understanding of background jobs, basic Basis concepts, or transports. * Basic **scripting and automation skills** (Pytho
